Legislative Compliance

With regulations varying from country to country, it is critical to ensure that you are in compliance before allowing a shipment to leave your port. Following are some of the key requirements to which imports are subject – and how TAG can help with each:

United States Facility Registration

Food companies importing into the U.S. must have their facilities registered with the FDA, with few exemptions. As this applies to any foreign facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or hold food for consumption in the U.S., TAG can help determine your admissibility and register your facility – at no charge!

Canada Licensing

To import into Canada, an importer must have a valid Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licence, that is issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) prior to a shipment being presented at the border. TAG can help you determine your admissibility and apply for your license – at no charge!

India Authority Liaison

TAG has established relationships with the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and can assist food producers with interaction with these authorities.

Global Product Label Compliance

Every country has specific food labeling requirements. Not only do the regulations of specific countries vary, but the rules within the country can vary. TAG can help you determine the requirements to which you are subject and assist in your compliance with the India FSSAI, US FDA and USDA, Canada CFIA, EU EFSA, and Middle East regulations
